To become licensed to practice medicine in the United States, every physician must successfully pass the United States Medical Licensing Examination® (USMLE).

Passing this exam puts you on par with U.S. medical graduates and qualifies you for residency training (equivalent to a paid residency/master’s degree) in your specialty.
