- General Information
The Department of Specialized Disciplines operates within the structure of the “Impulse” Medical Institute. The department was established in 2026 and currently carries out educational, research, and methodological activities in an integrated manner.
- Main Goals and Objectives of the Department
The primary goal of the department is to provide students with modern knowledge, train highly qualified specialists capable of independent thinking, and ensure the integration of science, education, and practice.
The department is assigned the following objectives:
• organizing academic classes at a high professional level;
• introducing advanced pedagogical and information technologies into the educational process;
• conducting research activities and implementing their results into practice;
• working with talented students and engaging them in scientific activities;
• developing educational and methodological literature, textbooks, and teaching manuals;
• expanding scientific cooperation at national and international levels.
- Educational and Methodological Activities
The department organizes lectures, practical and laboratory classes, as well as independent study, in accordance with the approved curricula for undergraduate programs in medical fields. Academic programs are regularly updated based on modern requirements.
The department offers instruction in the following disciplines: Medical Biology and General Genetics, Preclinical Restorative Dentistry, Introduction to Dentistry, Orthopedic Dentistry, Human Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy, Introduction to the Medical Profession, and Medical Chemistry.
- Research Activities
Eleven faculty members of the department conduct research in relevant scientific areas. The results of their work are published in national and international scientific journals and discussed at conferences and seminars.The research activities of the teaching staff are carried out systematically and consistently. In recent years, department members have published a total of 17 scientific articles and 14 theses addressing current issues in the field, modern scientific approaches, and practically significant results.
In addition, to strengthen integration with the international scientific community, 10 articles indexed in the Scopus international scientific and technical database have been published. Students participate in scientific clubs, where they develop research skills.
- Human Resources Capacity
The department employs highly qualified faculty members, including 3 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD) and senior lecturers. They make a significant contribution to improving the quality of education, developing scientific schools, and training young specialists.
- Material and Technical Base
The department is equipped with modern classrooms, laboratories, information resources, and technical facilities that ensure the effective organization of the educational process.
